If you've been following my blog for awhile, you may remember my article on Artist To Watch Out For, where I interviewed Tez4Real.
Tez4Real is an independent rap artist, originally from Los Angeles, but now in Arkansas sharing his talents.
On April 4th, Tez dropped a new mixtape titled, Born 2 Win. The mixtape is 10 tracks long, including his debut single "Pretend" and "My Dawgs."
I was able to catch up with Tez and ask a few questions about the mixtape, where we discussed the title, his creative process and even where he records.
First, I asked Tez where he got the name Born 2 Win, where he stated that it took him awhile to come up with the name. Originally, the tape was going to be called "Born 2 Win In Any Situation."
Tez definitely came through with the vibes on this tape, giving off a West Coast feel. Tez recorded songs, "Trip Back Home", and "On Everything" in Left Method Studio in Los Angeles.
The most popular tracks on the mixtape, include Whip Cream, featuring G5Tone, Trip Back Home and Nasty. I asked Tez if he planned on recording any visuals to these songs. He plans to record a music video to Nasty, where he shared that it is the biggest song on the tape.
Lastly, I asked Tez what was the best advice he had received in regards to his career. "Don't Stop, Keep Going" He responded.
Be sure to check out Born 2 Win by Tez4Real on all streaming platforms and follow him on Instagram!
I love how you bring light to new artist!!!!
